We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Bury. As a vital member of our social work field, you will be responsible for ensuring that the voices of children and young people are heard and that their best interests are prioritized in care planning and reviews. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, alongside a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and practice frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people in care. Facilitating meetings and discussions with children, families, and professionals to gather insights and feedback. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and services provided. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Producing detailed reports and recommendations based on findings from reviews.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in a reviewing or oversight capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
