Children's Independent Reviewing Officer - Bury

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Bury. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people in care.
  • Facilitating meetings and discussions with children, families, and professionals to gather insights and feedback.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and services provided.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Producing detailed reports and recommendations based on findings from reviews.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in a reviewing or oversight capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
