We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual who is committed to advocating for the rights and needs of children, ensuring they receive the support and services they deserve. As an IRO, you will play a crucial role in overseeing care plans, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and promoting the best interests of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people in care. Collaborating with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and service delivery. Acting as an advocate for children, ensuring their voices are heard and their wishes and feelings are taken into account. Monitoring the effectiveness of care plans and making recommendations for improvements. Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and young people.
