The NSPCC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Cardiff team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families and children to safeguard their welfare and promote their well-being. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work services, ensuring that the needs of vulnerable children are met effectively and compassionately.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and relevant agencies. Providing support and guidance to children and their families, empowering them to make positive changes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of best practices in child protection.

We are looking for candidates with the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Care Wales. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
