Children's SM - NSPCC Cardiff
The NSPCC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Cardiff team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families and children to safeguard their welfare and promote their well-being. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work services, ensuring that the needs of vulnerable children are met effectively and compassionately.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and relevant agencies.
- Providing support and guidance to children and their families, empowering them to make positive changes.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of best practices in child protection.
We are looking for candidates with the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
