We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Assessment and Intervention (A&I) Team in Birmingham. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. Your expertise will help to assess needs, develop tailored intervention plans, and provide ongoing support to families in crisis.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local authority guidelines. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
