Children's SSW - A&I Team - Birmingham
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Assessment and Intervention (A&I) Team in Birmingham. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. Your expertise will help to assess needs, develop tailored intervention plans, and provide ongoing support to families in crisis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and professionals.
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local authority guidelines.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.
- Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a caseload effectively.
