Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and qualified Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Children & Families (C&F) Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide essential support and intervention to vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing effective care plans for children and families in need. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver comprehensive services. Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, empowering them to make positive changes. Documenting case notes and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and continuous professional development.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
