The Bradford Social Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Children’s Social Worker (SSW) to join our Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Team. This role is crucial in supporting vulnerable children and their families who are impacted by substance misuse. As a Children’s SSW within the D&A Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families affected by substance misuse. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to facilitate effective support and resources. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure progress and compliance with care plans. Providing advice, guidance, and support to families, helping them navigate challenges related to substance misuse.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of substance misuse. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
