Wakefield is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Fostering Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with foster families, social services, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and reviews of foster placements to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Providing support and guidance to foster carers, helping them to meet the needs of the children in their care. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant professionals. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of service improvements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a fostering or child protection setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
