Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) within the Separated Children & Young People Service Team in Solihull. We are looking for passionate and skilled individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. In this role, you will work directly with separated children and young people, providing support, guidance, and advocacy to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs and circumstances of separated children and young people. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to promote positive outcomes and stability for children in care. Building strong relationships with children and young people to foster trust and encourage open communication. Working closely with external agencies, including schools, health services, and community organizations, to coordinate support services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly with separated or unaccompanied minors. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
