Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? Stockport's Children’s Social Work – Children in Care (CIC) Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring they receive the support and care they need to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and circumstances. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring regular reviews and updates. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within a CIC setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
