Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? West Sussex County Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team. As a Children’s Social Worker in the CIC Team, you will be responsible for a range of key duties, including:
Assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Conducting regular reviews and monitoring the progress of children in care. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote the best outcomes for children.To be successful in this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and child protection policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. The ability to manage complex cases and make informed decisions.
