The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work (CSW) Team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and various stakeholders to provide high-quality social work services that promote positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and support. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote integrated service delivery. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local and national policies. Providing support and guidance to less experienced team members and participating in supervision.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing child welfare.
