We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual committed to making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. You will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and intervention to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
As a Qualified Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to implement effective interventions. Providing direct support and advice to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of service improvements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
