Shropshire Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Duty & Assessment Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a member of our team, you will undertake assessments, provide support, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of all interactions. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives. Providing advice and support to other professionals and stakeholders.To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognized social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, and a thorough understanding of child protection legislation and frameworks. Experience working within a statutory children's services environment is highly desirable.
