Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Fostering Team in Middlesbrough, where your passion for improving the lives of children and families can make a real difference. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is committed to providing high-quality support and services to children in foster care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with foster families, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing and supporting foster carers to ensure they meet the needs of children placed with them. Conducting regular visits to foster homes to monitor the progress and wellbeing of children. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals. Providing guidance and training to foster families to enhance their skills and confidence. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with local policies and statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in fostering or adoption. Strong assessment skills and the ability to work with diverse families.
