Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Shropshire as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Kinship Fostering. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. You will be responsible for assessing, supporting, and supervising kinship placements, ensuring that children are placed in safe and nurturing environments. Your expertise will help foster strong relationships between families and social services, promoting the best interests of the children in our care.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship carers and the children placed with them. Developing and implementing support plans tailored to the needs of children and their families. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the welfare and safety of children. Providing ongoing support and supervision to kinship carers, addressing any issues that may arise. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in fostering or kinship care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and professionals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills.
