Join our dedicated MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Team in Bury as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with various agencies to assess and respond to the needs of vulnerable children, ensuring they receive the support and protection they deserve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, providing ongoing support and intervention. Working closely with schools, health services, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Documenting all interactions and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements.To succeed in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly within a MASH or safeguarding context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with families and professionals.Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
