We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Stockport. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated approach to support families. Attending case conferences, court hearings, and meetings to advocate for the best interests of children. Providing support and guidance to children and families to address issues such as neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification. Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues effectively.
