Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Stockport

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Stockport. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated approach to support families.
  • Attending case conferences, court hearings, and meetings to advocate for the best interests of children.
  • Providing support and guidance to children and families to address issues such as neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues effectively.
