We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's TM - MASH Team in Newham. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in need. Your primary duties will include:
Undertaking assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans that address the identified needs and ensure the safety and well-being of children. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to coordinate services and support for families. Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to review progress and make informed decisions regarding child protection.The successful candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working within a Children's Services setting, preferably in a MASH team. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals effectively.In addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in conducting Section 47 investigations and court work will be highly regarded.
