As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
Providing expert guidance and supervision to social work staff, ensuring high-quality practice and compliance with statutory requirements. Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans for families in need, using a strengths-based approach. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to deliver effective services and support to families. Leading case discussions and contributing to team meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local and national standards.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Significant post-qualifying experience in children and family social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Family Help Team in Herefordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of families and children. The role offers a competitive pay rate of £33.30 per hour (Umbrella) and provides a chance to work within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for a range of key duties that are essential to the effective functioning of the Family Help Team. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a complex caseload and providing high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, offering guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Collaborating with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of care plans, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practices. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and family support. Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
