Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Adoption Team in Blackburn with Darwen as a Qualified Social Worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate professional to support children and families through the adoption process, ensuring that every child finds a loving and stable home. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, engaging with children, prospective adopters, and various stakeholders to facilitate successful placements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and prospective adopters. Preparing and presenting reports for adoption panels. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families throughout the adoption process. Working closely with other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in adoption or permanency planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
