Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Support and Protect Team in Cumbria, where your expertise will make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in need. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and enhancing the well-being of vulnerable children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, agencies, and community partners to provide essential support and protection services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families. Managing a caseload effectively to ensure timely interventions and support. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to provide holistic support. Documenting all casework accurately and maintaining up-to-date records. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
