We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This vital role involves working with children and families to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children. As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will engage with families to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and ensure that children are protected from harm while supporting them to thrive in a safe environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports. Working closely with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate support services. Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as necessary.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
