An experienced and committed Social Worker is required to join a Children in Care team, supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and enjoy safe, stable and fulfilling lives. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by building trusting relationships, promoting wellbeing and ensuring that every child’s voice is heard.

You will manage a caseload of children in care, completing assessments, care planning and statutory visits in line with relevant legislation, regulations and practice standards. You will work closely with children, families, foster carers, residential settings, schools, health professionals and other agencies to develop and review effective care plans. The successful candidate will have a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England. You should have relevant experience of working with children and families, ideally within a children in care, safeguarding or statutory social work setting. Strong knowledge of the Children Act, care planning processes and safeguarding procedures is essential, along with the ability to produce clear, analytical records and reports.

In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your practice, access professional support and contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people in care.
