Cheshire East is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Leaving Care Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young people transitioning from care. With a competitive rate of £45 per hour (Umbrella), you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services to care leavers, ensuring their successful integration into independent living.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the Leaving Care Team, providing supervision and support to social workers and other staff. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices in accordance with relevant legislation. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people. Building strong relationships with local agencies, stakeholders, and service users to promote positive outcomes. Monitoring team performance and outcomes, conducting regular reviews and evaluations.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in social work, particularly within a Leaving Care or similar setting. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer a supportive working environment with opportunities for professional development.
