Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting thorough assessments of potential foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and standards Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers throughout the fostering process Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to safeguard the welfare of children in care Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court hearings as required Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience in assessing and supporting foster carers within a social work setting Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child protection Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders Ability to work independently, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively

In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, the successful candidate may be required to undergo a DBS check and possess a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle for work purposes. Providing direct support and interventions to children and families to promote positive outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with HCPC. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
