We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering assessing social worker to join our team in Dudley. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting foster carers to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments of potential foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and standards Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers throughout the fostering process Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to safeguard the welfare of children in care Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court hearings as required Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventionsThe ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience in assessing and supporting foster carers within a social work setting Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child protection Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders Ability to work independently, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks effectivelyIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, the successful candidate may be required to undergo a DBS check and possess a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle for work purposes. Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with HCPC.
