As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting foster carers to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of potential foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and standards
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers throughout the fostering process
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to safeguard the welfare of children in care
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court hearings as required
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration
- Demonstrated experience in assessing and supporting foster carers within a social work setting
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively
