We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Wiltshire. This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of children in foster care, providing support to foster families, and promoting positive outcomes for children. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and local authorities, to create a nurturing environment for children in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet regulatory standards. Providing ongoing support, supervision, and training to foster families. Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the needs of each child. Facilitating communication between children, foster parents, and social services. Monitoring the progress of children in care and advocating for their best interests.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in fostering, child protection, or family support services. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
