We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Locality Child Protection Team in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring their welfare through effective intervention and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and social work students. Collaborating with external agencies, including schools, health services, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection. The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
