We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Help team in Cambs (Fenland/Wisbech) on an umbrella basis, offering a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality support to families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, particularly within family support services, and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and interventions to families, ensuring a child-centered approach. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to family support. Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and support staff.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in social work, particularly with children and families. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
