We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Wokingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people in the area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs of children at risk of harm or neglect. Developing and implementing care plans to support the safeguarding of children and promote their welfare. Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to provide effective support and interventions. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in accordance with statutory requirements.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a safeguarding or child protection setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and safeguarding. Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills to effectively engage with children, families, and professionals. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Additional requirements or benefits:
