We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LAC Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Peterborough, specializing in the Qualified Social Work field. As a LAC Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in improving the lives of children and young people in care. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children, developing and implementing care plans, and working closely with families, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in your care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and young people in care. Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and families to promote stability and well-being. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children and young people, making necessary adjustments to care plans. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly within the LAC framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
