We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team in Lewisham, specializing in providing support to adolescents and their families within a safe space environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of crucial duties to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable young people and their families.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Assessing the needs of adolescents and their families, developing and implementing appropriate support plans Providing direct intervention and support to young people experiencing complex family issues or safeguarding concerns Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate holistic care and support services Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, contributing to their professional development Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other formal meetings as requiredThe ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working with adolescents and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and case management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for young peopleIn addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in trauma-informed practice or therapeutic interventions will be highly regarded.
