Lewisham - Sr. SW - Adolescent Family Help / Safe Space
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team in Lewisham, specializing in providing support to adolescents and their families within a safe space environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of crucial duties to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable young people and their families.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Assessing the needs of adolescents and their families, developing and implementing appropriate support plans
- Providing direct intervention and support to young people experiencing complex family issues or safeguarding concerns
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate holistic care and support services
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, contributing to their professional development
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other formal meetings as required
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience working with adolescents and families in a social work setting
- Strong assessment and case management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for young people
In addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in trauma-informed practice or therapeutic interventions will be highly regarded.
