Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Support and Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need of support and safeguarding. Your expertise will help ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable children, promoting positive outcomes and family resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and interventions to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
