We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IRO/CP Chair to join our dynamic team in Plymouth, specializing in Qualified Social Work. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of child protection and care planning for vulnerable children and young people. As an IRO/CP Chair, you will lead multi-agency meetings, advocate for children’s rights, and ensure that their voices are heard throughout the process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Chairing and facilitating Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Reviews. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Collaborating with social workers, families, and external agencies to develop effective care plans. Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of care plans, ensuring timely interventions. Providing expert guidance and support to social work teams and other stakeholders.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
