We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans to address the needs of children and families. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support and safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures. Providing direct support to families through outreach, counseling, and crisis intervention. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
