Social Worker CP/Safeguarding Team - Peterborough

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans to address the needs of children and families.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support and safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing direct support to families through outreach, counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
