Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing cases involving complex family dynamics and safeguarding concerns.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify risks and strengths within families. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support families in crisis. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
