Join our dedicated team in Somerset as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC). We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide support and guidance, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families to develop tailored care plans. Conducting regular visits and reviews to monitor the well-being and progress of children in care. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care. Advocating for the rights and needs of children, ensuring they are heard and valued. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with LAC/CIC populations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
