In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive family dynamics. Your expertise will be essential in assessing risk factors, developing intervention strategies, and providing ongoing support to families in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of families to identify risks and protective factors. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing guidance and support to junior social workers, ensuring best practices in family safeguarding. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate care and resources for families.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in children and family social work. Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.In addition, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
