We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to provide high-quality support and safeguarding interventions, promoting positive outcomes for children in need.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans that address identified issues. Engaging with families to build trusting relationships and encourage active participation in the safeguarding process. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
