We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to provide high-quality support and safeguarding interventions, promoting positive outcomes for children in need.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans that address identified issues.
  • Engaging with families to build trusting relationships and encourage active participation in the safeguarding process.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
