We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker to join our Disabled Children and Young Person’s Team in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support and care they need to thrive. As a Senior QSW, you will play a pivotal role in leading assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating services that empower families and enhance the wellbeing of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and young people with disabilities and their families. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams. Providing expert guidance and support to junior social workers and fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery. Managing complex cases and ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working with disabled children and young people, particularly in a social work context. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
