Warwickshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment team. This pivotal role requires a passionate professional to provide high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families in our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Providing expert guidance and support to junior staff and social work students. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in children's social work, particularly in Duty & Assessment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and professionals alike. A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
