We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Child in Care Team in Wigan. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved in the care system.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care Undertaking direct work with children and young people to support their emotional and social development Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children Attending court hearings and providing evidence as required Participating in team meetings and case conferences to review progress and make decisions

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working with children in care and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
