We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Wigan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to provide effective support and interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of families in need of support. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to address specific family issues. Working closely with children, parents, and caregivers to build trusting relationships. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of families, making adjustments to plans as necessary. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a Family Safeguarding context. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
